When it lands on you, will you notice?
When it slowly falls on your warm skin, will you appreciate the small moment of winter’s frost that has come straight to you? Will you notice the subtle, gentle pool that it leaves behind?
When you see her little eyes wander to the last bite of potato salad on your plate, will you catch her gaze and lean down to her level, delivering that final taste of summer that she will probably never remember, but will leave a lasting image on your heart?
And when you feel that pinch of fear rising up in you, thinking that you should run far away from what may be time of pain, will you take a deep breath and see the beauty of the moment instead?
I hope that you wake up each morning and choose to notice these small glimpses of God’s glory – from the moments of silent joy to the instances that make you think you should flee. Each of these drops are worth catching, for each living second is a time to cherish and fully embrace. “This is the day which the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
