Recently, I was asked two questions that stopped me in my tracks:
“Who am I?” and “Who do I love?”

In answering those questions, I’ve come to realize that God has given me a deep love for those who’ve lost their families and lost their homes.

That’s because His story for my life contains those chapters, too.

The love that God has shown me through His orphaned and refugee children has led me to start a nonprofit called “Belong Together.” The mission of Belong Together is to spiritually invest in refugees through mentorship.

Regardless of where we come from, what we look like, and what our culture is, Jesus said we all belong to our Father.

When we know who we are and whose we are, it changes everything – the way we think, the way we speak, the way we act. Knowing Who we belong to helps us to live like Christ, and love others from a place that allows the Holy Spirit to move in extraordinary ways, through extravagant love.

The vision of Belong Together is to see a world where young refugees draw the hearts of nations to the Father-heart of God.

Belong Together started as a mentorship group called “Belong” with resettled refugees, originally born in DR Congo. As a community and family, Belong was founded with the goal to build up, encourage and equip each other as followers of Christ.

We’re excited to see where God is leading, and to see how His radical love, grace and mercy can knit together a global and eternal family. That’s what happens when you belong.
